This Morning Routine Will Improve Your Mood
Starting your day focused on setting your intention.
Creating a daily practice allows you to tap into positive behavior setting. When we allow ourselves to fall into the routine of setting an intention we are able to feel more in control of our lives. This helps us to better cope with stress and anxiety. If we miss something we intended to focus on, take a moment and reflect on all that you have accomplished so far!
Starting on the bright side.
Our bodies are wired to respond to stimuli such as sunlight. This allows our natural arousal systems to become activated; this allows our energizing neurotransmitters and hormones with begin to alert the rest of our body that it is ready to get going! Remember sunshine is the key to alertness!
Fake it till you make it!
Visualizing and imagining allows us to mentally rehearse events that we are anticipating. Creating a positive neural pathway allows us to recognize we have the confidence and focus to make it happen!
Move it!
Exercising in the morning allows our brains to become activated with positive chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine. Our brain function improves when our reward chemical, Dopamine is flowing.
Listen to Mother Nature
Research shows natural sounds help our parasympathetic nervous system find grounding. When we pair positive green spaces or moments in nature we allow ourselves to slow down and better combat negative thoughts and feelings. This can help our overall health and encourage us to tap into developing stronger coping skills.
